Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until it’s well blended.
- Toss the chicken pieces in the bowl until they’re fully coated. If you’re adding Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it in now and give it another gentle toss.
Cooking
- Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Remember to work in batches to prevent overcrowding.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through to ensure an even cook.
- After cooking, check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Let them rest for 2 minutes before serving!
Notes
Leftover chicken bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes to regain some of their crispy texture. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to three months.
