Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tsp olive oil (or avocado oil for a lighter taste) Avocado oil adds a lighter taste, while olive oil brings its wonderful flavor.
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika Provides a smoky flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra flavor) Adding Parmesan takes these bites to another level.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until it’s well blended.
  3. Toss the chicken pieces in the bowl until they’re fully coated. If you’re adding Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it in now and give it another gentle toss.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the coated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Remember to work in batches to prevent overcrowding.
  2. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through to ensure an even cook.
  3. After cooking, check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Let them rest for 2 minutes before serving!

Notes

Leftover chicken bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes to regain some of their crispy texture. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to three months.
