  • 4 pieces salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed) Best flavor with fresh juice.
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half for a lighter version.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon slices for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lay the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
Making the Sauce
  1. Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  2. Generously pour the lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets.
Baking
  1. Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices on the side for an added zing.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Reheat gently in the oven. For freezing, double-wrap in plastic wrap and foil.
