- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. If there’s excess fat, drain it off.
- Toss in the chopped onions and minced garlic. Cook until fragrant, around 2 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped bell peppers (or any veggies you like) and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle in the chili powder and Italian seasoning. Pour in the canned tomatoes or broth, stirring until everything is well combined.
- Let it simmer for about 15 minutes for flavors to meld.
Serving
- Spoon the mixture onto plates and garnish with cheese, fresh herbs, or your favorite toppings.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For longer storage, consider freezing it, divided into individual portions for easier thawing.
