Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 6–8 pieces hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 1 stick unsalted butter Can be substituted with olive oil or a dairy-free alternative.
  • 1/4 cup sliced onions
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic Fresh garlic is recommended for better flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup vegetable broth Chicken broth can be used for richer flavor.
Spices
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning Can be substituted with celery salt, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne.
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper Adjust according to desired spice level.
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil your hard-boiled eggs by adding them to boiling water and letting them simmer for about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Once cooked, remove the eggs from the pot and let them cool completely before peeling them.
Cooking Sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the stick of unsalted butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and cook until soft and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, garlic paste, and all the spices: Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Pour in the vegetable broth and let everything simmer for about 5 minutes.
Finishing Touches
  1. In a serving bowl, place your peeled eggs and generously pour the hot sauce over them.
  2. Serve them immediately, either warm or chilled.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently or enjoy cold. Timing is key for perfect boiled eggs—too long can make them rubbery.
