Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 6 strips crispy bacon
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup ranch dressing Consider a homemade version using Greek yogurt for low-carb diets.
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until it becomes crispy. Transfer the bacon to paper towels to drain excess grease.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the ranch dressing and soy sauce, blending until smooth.
Baking
  1. Lay the seasoned chicken breasts flat in the prepared dish and drizzle half of the ranch mixture over each breast.
  2. Crumble the crispy bacon over the chicken and top with a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Before serving, drizzle the remaining ranch sauce over the top for an extra punch of flavor.

Notes

For best results, allow chicken to reach room temperature before seasoning. Experiment with different cheeses; pepper jack adds a nice kick. Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for a beautifully golden top.
