Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until they’re translucent and fragrant.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until thin.
- Place the beef mixture in the center of the pastry and shape it into a log.
- Wrap the pastry around the beef and seal the edges tightly.
- Brush the top with beaten egg.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the beef is cooked through.
- Allow it to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve with a fresh salad or steamed vegetables for a well-rounded meal. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
