Method

Prep and Cook Tortellini
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak
  1. Season both sides of your steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
Make the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add 4 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream and whole milk, stirring to combine.
  3. Stir in shredded parmesan until melted and the sauce becomes creamy. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
  1. Slice the resting steak into strips and return to the skillet to soak in all the beautiful flavors.
  2. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet, gently tossing everything together until the pasta is coated in the creamy sauce.
  3. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.

Notes

To elevate your dining experience, consider plating with a sprinkle of freshly cracked black pepper and a drizzle of olive oil. Pair with a crisp green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
