  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Use your choice of nuts for added crunch.
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional) These can add sweetness and texture.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the brown sugar, rolled oats, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and any optional nuts or dried fruits.
  2. Layer the sliced apples evenly in the bottom of your Crock-Pot.
  3. Sprinkle the oat mixture generously over the apples.
  4. Pour the apple juice or water around the edges, ensuring everything is nicely moistened.
Cooking
  1. Cover your Crock-Pot and let it cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until the apples are tender and fragrant.
