Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment or lightly oil it.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon. Cook until no pink remains, about 6–8 minutes.
- Drain excess grease if necessary. Return the beef to the skillet and stir in onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning. Remove from heat.
- Lay the tortillas flat and spread 1 tablespoon of garlic butter evenly over each one.
- Place about one-quarter of the beef mixture in the center of each tortilla. Sprinkle roughly 1/4 cup shredded cheddar over the beef.
- Tuck in the sides and roll each tortilla tightly, seam-side down. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with any remaining garlic butter.
Baking
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the tortillas are golden brown and crisp. For a deeper color, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Slice each roll on the diagonal and serve warm.
Notes
Serves well with sliced pickles, ketchup, mustard, or slaw. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
