Ingredients

For the filling
  • 450 g ground beef Feel free to use lean ground beef or substitute with turkey or veggie ground.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
For the dough and topping
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8-count)
  • 60 g unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic or garlic powder
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley Optional, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess fat and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce if using.
  2. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar and cream cheese until they blend together nicely.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 190 °C (375 °F). Flatten each biscuit dough piece into circles about 4 inches wide.
  2. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef-cheese mixture into the center of each circle. Bring the edges together and pinch tightly to seal the filling inside, forming a ball.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with minced garlic and Parmesan cheese. Brush this garlic-Parmesan mixture generously over the tops of each sealed ball.
  4. Place the bombs seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and are cooked through.
  5. Allow them to cool for a couple of minutes. If you like, sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

These bombs pair well with a fresh side salad, crispy fries, or vegetable sticks with a creamy dip. For a themed gathering, offer various dipping sauces.
