Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Pat dry the chicken breasts, then season them with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until it becomes fragrant.
- Reduce the heat, and mix in the heavy cream or cream cheese until it’s smooth.
- Whisk in the grated Parmesan until it’s creamy and well combined.
- Place the seasoned chicken in a baking dish, then pour the sauce over the top.
- Bake uncovered for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Once done, allow to rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley or basil, and serve it hot!
Notes
For an extra layer of flavor, consider marinating the chicken in Italian seasoning or lemon juice a few hours before cooking. This dish can also be customized with additional ingredients like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
