Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.25 pounds boneless, skinless chicken tenders
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour substitute with a gluten-free flour blend for a gluten-free option
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil or use melted butter for richness
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Optional Ingredients
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • A pinch of cayenne for heat
  • 0.5–1 teaspoon dried basil
  • A pinch of paprika for color

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Trim any excess fat from the chicken tenders and pat them dry to ensure a nice crispy coating.
  3. Set up three shallow bowls: one with seasoned flour, another with garlic oil, and the third with the Panko-Parmesan mixture.
Baking
  1. Dredge each tender in the flour, dip in garlic oil, and then coat thoroughly with the Panko mix.
  2. Arrange the tenders on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Flip the tenders and bake for an additional 5-8 minutes, until they are golden brown and cooked through (reaching an internal temperature of 165°F).
  4. Let the tenders rest for 2 minutes before serving, and enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

These tenders are great with a variety of side dishes like salads, fries, or mashed potatoes. Optionally, drizzle extra Parmesan on top before serving and offer a selection of dipping sauces.
