Preparation and Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture into the greased baking dish evenly.
- Layer the thinly sliced potatoes on top, seasoning with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and a dash of paprika for extra flavor.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheeses over the potatoes, making it cheesy goodness!
- Pour the beef broth around the edges of the dish for moisture.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option or use cream of mushroom soup for a creamier texture.
