Ingredients
  

For the banana bread
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter Coconut oil can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar You can reduce the sugar by about 1/4 cup.
  • 1 large egg, beaten Can be substituted with a non-dairy egg alternative for dairy-free.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Almond flour can be used for a gluten-free option.
For the cinnamon swirl
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon Experiment with pumpkin spice for a seasonal variation.
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until just incorporated, then fold in the flour.
Cinnamon Swirl Assembly
  1. In a separate bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
  2. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Layer the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar.
  3. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture together, creating beautiful marbled patterns.
Baking
  1. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a bit before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
