Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 filets salmon filets
  • 1/4 cup honey can substitute with agave syrup for less sweetness
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced fresh garlic recommended
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce can substitute with tamari for gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your broiler in the oven.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the salmon filets on it.
  4. Generously brush the honey garlic mixture over each salmon filet.
  5. Broil the salmon for 8-10 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and has a lovely caramelized top.
  6. Once it’s done, remove it from the oven and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the salmon for up to 30 minutes before cooking. Keep an eye on the broiler to prevent burning. Fresh garlic provides the best flavor, but garlic powder can be used in a pinch—use half the amount.
