Ingredients

Dumpling Ingredients
  • 10 sheets Rice paper sheets
  • 1 lb Ground meat (like pork or chicken) or a vegetable mixture Use a vegetarian option for a meat-free version.
  • 2 cups Chopped vegetables (carrots, cabbage, mushrooms)
  • 0.5 cup Fresh herbs (mint, cilantro, green onions) Use a mix of your choice.
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce Or your favorite dipping sauce.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil Optional for extra flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Minced.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine your chosen protein and chopped vegetables. Season with soy sauce, garlic, and ginger to your taste.
Wrapping
  1. Fill a large bowl with warm water. Dip one rice paper sheet into the water for about 10-15 seconds, until it becomes pliable.
  2. Place the softened rice paper on a clean surface. In the center, add a small spoonful of your filling. Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly, similar to a burrito.
Cooking
  1. Decide how you want to cook your dumplings. Pan-fry them for a crispy exterior, steam them for a lighter option, or boil them for the classic approach.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, plate your delicious dumplings and serve them with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat gently in a skillet with a little oil or steam to retain moisture. Can be frozen if separated with parchment paper.
