  • 1 cup yogurt Greek yogurt for extra protein or regular/plain yogurt for a softer texture
  • 1 piece ripe banana sliced, ripe but not overly brown for best texture
  • 2 tablespoons salted caramel sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 tablespoon granola optional; adds crunch
  • to taste chopped nuts or seeds optional; almonds, walnuts, or pumpkin seeds

Method

Assembly
  1. Scoop 1 cup of yogurt into a bowl and spread it into an even layer.
  2. Slice the ripe banana and arrange the slices on top of the yogurt in a single layer.
  3. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of salted caramel sauce evenly over the banana slices.
  4. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of granola and/or chopped nuts or seeds for crunch, if using.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Best eaten immediately. If refrigerated, consume within 24 hours; expect some browning of the banana and loss of granola crunch. For a creamier bowl, fold a tablespoon of mascarpone or ricotta into your yogurt.
