Method

Preparation
  1. Boil the red potatoes until they’re fork-tender, which takes about 15–20 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet heated over medium, brown the ground beef. Break it up as it cooks, which should take around 6–8 minutes.
  3. In the same skillet, you may add a drizzle of oil and cook the onions on low heat until they turn golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef, the caramelized onions, and the diced potatoes. Mix in the Cajun seasoning.
Assembly
  1. Layer a bed of lettuce in each bowl.
  2. Top with the beef and potato mixture.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top and finish with mayo, ketchup, mustard, and pickles.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately and enjoy the flavorful layers in your Smash Burger Bowl!

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding avocado or roasted jalapeños as toppings. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days or freeze for later use.
