Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a football-shaped brownie pan or line it with parchment paper for easy release.
- Melt the butter in a large heatproof bowl (microwave or stovetop). Stir in the sugar until well combined and slightly glossy.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition for a smooth mixture. Stir in the vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until evenly distributed.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared football pan and spread evenly. Tap the pan to release air bubbles.
Baking
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Start checking at 18 minutes.
- Cool the brownies completely in the pan, then frost with chocolate frosting.
- Melt white chocolate or prepare icing and pipe the laces to resemble a football.
Serving
- Slice and serve at your Super Bowl party.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Unfrosted brownies freeze best—cool, wrap tightly, and freeze up to 3 months.
