Ingredients
  

For the sandwich
  • 4 slices sourdough bread Tangy flavor and great texture
  • 4 oz Brie cheese Use room temperature for easier slicing and melting.
  • 1 medium apple Honeycrisp or Gala varieties recommended.
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce Homemade or store-bought both work.
  • 2 tbsp butter For the perfect crispy crust.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat.
  2. Generously butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place a slice of bread in the skillet, butter-side down.
  4. Layer on a generous helping of Brie cheese, followed by apple slices, and top with cranberry sauce.
  5. Add another slice of bread on top, butter-side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom slice turns golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Carefully flip and brown the other side.
  8. Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, remove from heat, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Pair with butternut squash soup, a side salad, or apple cider for the best experience. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
